Job Description

Practice Enhancement Review Program CoordinatorResponsibilities:

  • Coordinate the CDSS Practice Enhancement Review Program (PERP) activities.
  • Coordinate CDSS responses to all positive biological test results from the College of Dentistry’s third-party sterilizer monitoring program.
  • Provide support to the Manager of Professional Standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Duties:
  • Send PERP questionnaires to all registrant clinics
  • Process and review completed PERP questionnaires
  • Interact with registrants to collect additional PERP information based on questionnaire responses.
  • Draft recommendation letters to remedy deficits in returned PERP questionnaires.
  • Process and review responses to recommendations from registrants.
  • Draft final letters following response letters from members.
  • Send all drafts to Manager of Professional Standards and Registrar to review.
  • Send out all approved recommendation letters to registrants.
  • Answer calls from registrants with questions regarding PERP and recommendations.
  • Respond to positive bio test results from the College of Dentistry by notifying registrants of the positive test and asking them to respond with their mitigation activities to ensure a negative subsequent test.
  • Keep the Registrar and Manager, Professional Standards abreast of case progress.
  • Schedule and coordinate any PERP site visits.
Desirable Skills and Attributes
  • Education and experience in a clinical dental setting e.g., dental assisting, dental hygiene, dental therapy.
  • Above average computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs, especially
Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
