Come and be a part of this success.About PotashBHP’s Jansen Potash Project located approximately 140 km east of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan is BHP’s first and most advanced potash project. Jansen will add diversity and a Canadian presence to BHP’s global portfolio. Jansen’s large resource endowment provides the opportunity to develop it in stages, with anticipated initial capacity of 4.35 Mtpa. The BHP Board has recently sanctioned Jansen Project (Stage 1), with a US $5.7 billion investment. The project is now entering the construction phase, with the first potash expected in 2027.PurposeThe Principal Asset Planning contributes to the leadership and safe/efficient delivery of the Corporate Alignment Planning (CAP) processes for BHP’s potash commodity in line with BHP standards and requirements. They lead medium and long-term planning, integrating functional, business, and project objectives and strategies into a single asset plan, with clear short-term priorities.About the RoleIn this role, you will:

  • Facilitate the development of practical and realistic internal growth options for BHP Potash
  • Lead the execution of the end-to-end CAP process for Potash to develop plans, targets and budgets, integrating inputs from across the business
  • Implement effective project management routines to enable effective delivery of CAP process by key contributors
  • Lead discussions and presentations on the CAP process and outputs to build internal stakeholder understanding and buy-in
  • Collaborate in the development of scorecard and performance metrics for Potash
  • Monitor the external environment and analyses the impact of changes on short, medium and long term plans to identify risks and opportunities to enhance delivery
  • Maintain key connections within the business to support customer needs and outcomes
  • Establish routines with other functions, operations and regions based on an understanding of key integration points to enable regular collaboration for enhanced outcomes
  • Support sustainability planning for Potash and own the closure plan for Jansen
  • Engage the capabilities of the entire organisation
  • Strive to achieve 100% safety, 100% customer value and 0% waste
  • Know our customer and is motivated with meeting their needs
About You
  • Technical or business related post-secondary diploma
  • Understanding of end-to-end value chain for mineral extraction
  • Communication of strategies and complex messages to leadership
  • Medium to long term planning experience is an asset
