Are you looking for an opportunity to join a diverse group of professionals who are committed to remaining exceptional We look forward to hearing from you.Looking to take the next step in your career Hatch, a full-service consultancy, is currently seeking a highly motivated Project Controls Systems Technician to join the Project Controls team in Vancouver, BC.The Jansen Project is located in Saskatchewan, Canada in the world’s best potash basin. The project will create a world-class potash mine with expected Stage 1 output of 4.35 million tonnes per annum. The project is expected to take six years to construct and two years for ramp up. Jansen Stage 1 includes the design, engineering, and construction of an underground potash mine and surface infrastructure, including a processing facility, a product storage building, and a continuous automated rail loading system. Hatch is proud to be an equal partner in the joint venture that provides engineering, procurement, and construction management and is helping to deliver this important project for Saskatchewan and Canada,.This is a functional support role designed to grant exposure for the candidate across the project management, controls and leadership of the region, and to instill a solid foundation of project management and controls best practices. This role will offer great opportunities to learn through exposure to software product development practices; communication and marketing teams; and training content design and communication. The candidate will form part of a global network of support for project controls and project management.As the successful candidate you will:

  • Cultivate understanding of project management and controls tools functionality and how it integrates inside the Hatch ecosystem
  • Offer proactive functional support for project managers and controllers
  • Share tips, techniques and FAQs with relevant stakeholders
  • Identify potential future process and tool improvements
  • Record user feedback for future action by a wider team
  • Extract and analyse data for the purpose of driving adoption and compliance
  • Communicate and collaborate with regional and global team to achieve outcomes
You bring to the role:
  • Undergraduate Degree or Diploma (there is no preferred area of expertise)
  • 0 to 2 years work experience, preferably in a team environment
  • Practical, structured thinking for efficient completion of tasks
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
