Job Description

Looking for a stable and team-oriented work environment within the construction industryCP Distributors has a current opening for an ambitious Project Coordinator in our Saskatoon branch.CP Distributors is a trusted, value-added business partner in the construction industry and is dedicated to being the leading supplier of Commercial Doors, Frames, Finish Hardware and Specialties, Integrated Security Systems, and the service and installation of these products.The position is full-time and, for a highly motivated professional, has tremendous growth opportunities.As a Project Coordinator, you will be responsible to:

  • Accurately prepare detailed shop drawings and schedules using architectural drawings and hardware detailing as per specifications;
  • Coordinate project hardware, estimating, material, and quantity take off;
  • Manage the logistics of moving goods from the vendor to the customer;
  • Maintain ongoing communication with construction project managers and site superintendents;
  • Monitor and report all information to the project manager regarding ordering, supply, progression, and coordination of products;
  • Coordinate project documentation, change orders, technical drawings, progress claims, and quality control documentation in support of the project life cycle;
  • Constantly update product knowledge;
  • Provide exceptional customer service, and work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders;
  • Take a proactive and professional approach to trouble-shooting and have strong organizational abilities.
Your Experience:
  • Ideally, you will bring a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within the industry;
  • Proven ability to apply technical knowledge and code requirements associated with production and review of technical drawings;
  • Foundational experience and knowledge of Division 8 and 10 scopes of work, specifically with building openings (doors, frames, and hardware);
  • Architectural technology background is considered an asset;
  • CET designation and/or AHC credentials considered an asset.

  • Demonstrated ability to produce detailed, error-free schedules and technical drawings;
  • Applied knowledge of project management fundamentals and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Proficient in CAD software associated with design and construction;
  • Creative problem solver who works in a professional manner;
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues across our company, maintaining our close-knit, team-orientated culture.
