  • Execute implementations and convert client files from desktop applications (e.g. QuickBooks Desktop, Sage 50) to cloud accounting applications (e.g. QBO, Xero, Sage Business Cloud)
  • Plan the conversion approach and execute implementation related tasks including pre-migration data validation, accounting system configuration, data migration and post migration data validation
  • Review GL accounts including cash, bank reconciliations, prepaid expenses, accounts receivable, accounts payable, accrued liabilities, intercompany and point of sale (POS) / system uploads
  • Support chart of accounts mapping from the legacy system to the new application
  • Identify data quality issues and errors, investigate discrepancies and discuss with managers or engagement partners to develop resolutions
  • Organize and coordinate stakeholder engagement, as required
  • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve MNP’s cloud accounting integration methodology
  • Work collaboratively with the operations team to meet client requirements
Skills and Experience
  • Accounting certificate or a bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration (accounting, finance or management information systems (MIS) major is considered an asset)
  • 1 year of relevant bookkeeping experience
  • Experience executing accounting system implementations; conversion experience moving from desktop-based products to cloud applications is preferred
  • Knowledge of the bookkeeping process
  • Experience working with desktop-based small business accounting packages, including QuickBooks Desktop, Sage 50 and/or other legacy desktop products
  • Experience working with cloud-based accounting packages is considered an asset (e.g., QBO, Xero, Sage Business Cloud)
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Image editing software (i.e. GIMP, Snag It)
