Job Description

Research AssociatePrimary Purpose: This position is to support project development in the Collins lab.Nature of Work: This is a short-term, full-time contract (40hr/week). Weekends and evening work will be needed, as required.Typical Duties or Accountabilities: The applicant is expected to work independently on a project defined by the supervisor. Duties will include gene editing in zebrafish, modeling human disease, characterizing zebrafish cardiovascular physiology and development.Education: PhD in Developmental Biology or Physiology.Experience: Experience with zebrafish, genetics, cardiovascular biology, genome engineering, molecular biology, and in vivo live imaging, as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications in these fields. Experience working and in a diverse and inclusive environment is required.Skills: The candidate should have experience training staff and students.
