We are a local manufacturing firm seeking an individual to add to our sales team to help drive sales and grow the business. Duties will include servicing existing accounts, obtaining orders, and establishing new accounts by both prospecting for new customers and by calling on our extensive list of existing customers. Assisting with customer service and inside counter sales will also be an important part of the role.Our product is sold through wholesale and retail operations. We sell to a large array of customer such as large trucking and trucking supply companies, contractors and agricultural enterprises. In addition we service lumber mills, the mining sector and oil and other resource companies. The markets that we service are agricultural, trucking, industrial and recreational and a background in sales in any of these areas would be beneficial.This is a hands on position with a smaller company. It is the kind of business where you get to know your customers on a first name basis. The candidate must be prepared to do a variety of jobs including cold calling, pulling orders, quoting and measuring jobs on-site, helping customers load vehicles, etc.Customer service experience would be an asset with preference given to experience in industrial markets. An out-going and positive attitude is required. Organizational and time-management skills are essential. Ability to effectively work as part of a team is a must. Estimating and drafting experience would be helpful. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated prospecting skills and individuals who excel at developing longstanding relationships customers.Required immediately, full-time permanent position.
