This role provides exceptional customer service support, drive sales and will be responsible for selling, hardwood, vinyl, laminate, tile, and home hardware to local flooring stores. Sales Representative will assess retail stores’ needs, and guide stores to open accounts in order to boost sales in the future. This position is also expected to receive and prepare orders, coordinate inventory transfer and manage customer relationships in order to expand sales opportunities.Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop relationships with new and existing customers. Answer customers questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms.
  • Obtain orders through email and telephone calls, verify and enter items, transfer orders to fulfillment, explain stock-outs and expected delivery dates.
  • Increase orders by suggesting related items, explaining features, and checking customer’s buying history.
  • Prepare, generate, and follow up on verbal or written quotations to secure orders, or determine reason for loss of order.
  • Develop and execute sales strategy through market analysis. Identify ways for continuous improvement of processes.
  • Maintain distribution system backorder report, associated customer expediting report and notices, and customer notification.
  • Report industry trends, competitive pricing and customer feedback to management.
Qualifications: An excellent candidate will exhibit the following:Required:
  • High School graduate or equivalent education.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services.
  • Previous 1-2 years sales, marketing and customer service experience.
  • Highly self-motivated and passionate on selling.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in written form.
  • Ability to take action and solve a range of problems that may be difficult.
  • Strong organizational skills on daily tasks, know how to prioritize work.
  • Ability to work independently with general supervision.
  • Maintain confidential and sensitive information.
  • Attention to details.
  • Ability to understand, demonstrate, and promote the Vision, Mission, and Values of the company
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and drawings (considered an asset)
  • Valid Drivers License is Required
Preferred:
  • Fast learner for new knowledge.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office, and ability to perform basic computer skills.
