Job Description

Looking for a stable and team-oriented work environment within the construction industryCP Distributors has a current opening for an ambitious Shipper and Receiver in our Saskatoon branch.CP Distributors is a trusted, value-added business partner in the construction industry and is dedicated to being the leading supplier of Commercial Doors, Frames, Finish Hardware and Specialties, Integrated Security Systems, and the service and installation of these products.The position is full-time and, for a highly motivated professional, has tremendous growth opportunities.As a Shipper and Receiver, you will be responsible to:

  • Coordinate the unpacking, sorting, and storing of all incoming products in the warehouse;
  • Work alongside warehouse personnel and project leaders to itemize and pick orders for shipments;
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment by ensuring product is accurately stocked and counted in accordance with our procedures, and cleaning inventory racks of debris and shipping material;
  • Provide clerical support by printing shipping orders, studying invoices to ensure appropriate order, and verifying shipments against the order list;
  • Oversee the loading and unloading shipments in the warehouse as well as coordinate deliveries by truck to and from site;
  • Adhere to all safety standards and procedures.
Your Experience:
  • Ideally, you bring 3-5 years’ experience assisting in a warehouse environment;
  • Experience with, or an interest in learning about, our products/services;
  • Proven analytical skills with a a background in operations and logistics;
  • Prior training and experience safely operating a forklift is considered an asset.
Your Skills:
  • Effective communication and customer service skills;
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Excel;
  • Ability to work both unsupervised or as part of a team;
  • Outgoing, friendly, and a quick learner;
  • Attention to detail with ability to maintain a neat and well-organized work environment;
  • Collaborate with colleagues across our company, maintaining our close-knit, team-oriented culture;
  • Ability to lift 50lbs.
