Job Description

CoreTech Structured Cabling a division of Netcore Technologies is currently seeking full time structured cabling technicians and lead technicians for small to large scale construction and renovation projects. We are looking for reliable people with good work ethics and diverse knowledge and skills to work in the telecommunications and security industry.Structured Wiring / Cabling Technicians are involved in maintaining cable systems, installing, repairing, programming, and upgrading cable infrastructure.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cable systems by installing, repairing, programming, and upgrading cable infrastructure
  • Run new cabling in new or existing buildings
  • Responsible for the termination and testing of new cabling
  • Perform major and minor preventive maintenance and repairs by troubleshooting cabling system issues
  • Set up new telecommunications frames
  • Understand, adhere to, and promote environmental, health & safety practices
  • Assist co-workers with installation and routine maintenance of structured cabling systems
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Ability to test, analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues
  • Ability to manage workload and to ensure jobs are completed on time and on budget
  • Job planning skills according to desired timelines, including the dissection of blueprints
  • Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions, confined spaces, isolation
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding atmosphere including, but is not limited to: carry, raise and climb a ladder, carry, lift and handle heavy equipment and/or tooling.
  • Self-disciplined, motivated and organized
  • Knowledge of fibre optics and fibre optic splicing extremely beneficial
Experience Required:
  • Preference will be given to those with fibre optic experience
  • Supervisory or team lead experience is considered an asset
Additional Requirements:
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
  • The successful candidate will be required to pass a criminal record check
Pay is competitive with industry standards and will be based on experience and certifications.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $17.00-$25.00 per hourAdditional pay:
  • Bonus pay
Schedule:
  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
