We value diversity and respect in the workplace. We are currently sourcing Underground Miners for projects across Saskatchewan and Western Canada. Underground Miners: We are looking for people who have underground experience in the potash industry and have demonstrated competency and attention to safety in:operation of scoop trams, continuous miners and other cutting equipment, bolting machines and equipment, and various auxiliary equipment such as telehandlers and skid steers operation of drilling and bolting equipment and installation of ground support installation of conveyance systems and other underground infrastructure construction of underground storage bins and other structural projects shotcreting, backfilling and installing concrete foundations shaft construction and remediationIn addition to the experience noted above, an ideal candidate will possess:a minimum of one year working in an underground mining environment or three years working in an industrial construction setting current certification in Saskatchewan General Mine Safety Awareness current certification in First Aid/CPR, Fall Protection, and Aerial Work Platforms current or previous training and certification for operation of specific equipment a commitment to working safely and communicating effectively in a team environment positive attitude and excellent work ethic the ability to work away from home on a work rotation defined by the project the ability to work dayshift or nightshift a valid driver’s license the ability to travel to work locations in Saskatchewan without relying on air travelStrong consideration will be given to candidates who:have held Underground Supervisor Tickets in Saskatchewan have experience or hold current certification for Blasting have trade qualifications or experience, especially in the areas of Ironworking, Welding, Heavy Duty Mechanics or Industrial Mechanics live in SaskatchewanCandidates should be physically fit and, as part of our screening process, will be asked to perform a drug and alcohol test at a licensed laboratory.
