Youth Work Training & Placement Leader Our website is www.thegenerationloveproject.com if you would like to learn more about who we are and what we do before applying to be part of our team.We are looking for an individual who is passionate about their community, specifically underprivileged youth, to join our team.The right candidate will wear many hats and be happy to be bart of the team helping these youth better their lives.You will work with youth at the job training placementsTake youth to their activity days (you get to join in the fun!)Help with fundraisers and events.Hours are all over the place depending on the day/event. Often events go late into the evening.Candidate must have a flexible schedule (we make the schedule as far in advance as possible so everyone can plan.Our job training and placement program is beginning to reopen after a pause due to COVID.We assist youth with the steps needed prior to employment, provide them with their first job and have them work alongside a supervisor in order to learn and grow in a work environment, and then assist them in moving onto another job to make room for other youth to have their first job.We are specifically looking for students for this position. If you field of study is related to children/youth/education that would be an asset!Must have a valid drivers licence and be able/willing to drive within Saskatoon and to small surrounding towns such as Warman, Osler, and MartensvilleWhile working with the youth at their job placement, your job would be to pick up your youth worker prior to the shift and work their shift with them and assist and educate them on their job responsibilities and customer service.Your shift includes youth drop off and pickup times for your youth worker.Must be able to provide a criminal record check with the child sector and a drivers abstract.We strive to provide a fun and welcoming environment for both the youth and the staff and look forward to hearing from you and learning what you could bring to the team and how you could be a role model for the youth.The summer contract is for 9 weeks.
