Job Description

Janitor Responsibilities:

  • General cleaning of the building and keeping it maintained and in good condition.
  • Vacuum upstairs offices and entrance mats
  • Wash windows, inside and outside
  • Clean up spills with appropriate equipment.
  • Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
  • Keep cleaning supplies in stock.
  • Work with a contract cleaning service when necessary for floor waxing.
  • Clean and disinfect washrooms and fixtures
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers
  • Sweep, mop, scrub hallways, floors and stairs
  • Carry out deep cleaning and detailed cleaning tasks.
  • Notify management of deficiencies or if repairs required.
Janitor Requirements:
  • Ability to manage your time efficiently.
  • Work well when supervisors are not present.
  • Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
  • Handle basic maintenance, cleaning, and other janitorial work.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Able to work safely with a variety of cleaning supplies.
  • High school diploma.
  • Able to use basic cleaning equipment.
Duties include but are not limited to cleaning floors, washrooms, offices, washing windows and general sanitizing of the store. Position hours vary between days (Mon to Fri 7 am to 3:30 pm),evenings (Mon to Fri 10:45 am to 7:15 pm) and weekends (Sat 9 am to 6:15 pm, Sun 11 am to 5:15 pm). Wage to be discussed, depending on experience.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: From $13.00 per hourBenefits:
