This is a Term position for the period of September 6, 2022 - June 30, 2023.The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates the needs and provides programming based on a consultative model of speech language pathology services.Responsibilities:- Provide speech language services using established best practice processes for service focused in school settings.- Participate collaboratively in a consultative model including students, families and school teams to identify and assess occupational performance issues.- Assist with educational programs and consultation services to clients, students, families and school teams.- Develop, implement and document action plans based on assessed needs.- Ensure that personnel carrying out the program plan are appropriately trained and supervised.- Provide professional development opportunities, independently or in collaboration with other staff.- Organize, prioritize, and assume responsibility for managing their own caseload.- Assume responsibility for maintaining a current professional knowledge base.- Be familiar with and adhere to relevant Board Policy, procedures, practices and Reference Manuals.- Assume other responsibilities and perform other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.Qualifications:- Be Licensed by College of Audiologists and Speech-Language pathologists of Manitoba and qualify for certification by Manitoba Education.- Previous related experience working in a school setting.- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.- Hold or have the ability to obtain a School Clinician Certificate issued by Manitoba Education.Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check will be required.Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contractContract length: 10 monthsSalary: From $66,787.00 per yearFlexible language requirement:
