Job Description

Under the Direction of the Divisional Information Technology Manager, the IT Technician will support, maintain, and implement divisional technology.The ideal candidate will have experience with technology hardware, software, and a minimum of four years experience supporting information systems.Specific duties and responsibilities of this position may be modified to suit the skillset of the successful candidate.Duties and Responsibilities:- Perform on-site and remote technical support.- Install and configure hardware and software.- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.- Provide technical training to staff as required.- Maintain excellent communication with the Divisional Information Technology Manager on all tasks and projects.- Create and maintain accurate technical documentation.- Assist on projects or special initiatives as assigned.- Perform other duties as assigned by the Divisional Information Technology Manager.Qualifications:- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or a suitable combination of training and experience.- A minimum of four years experience supporting information systems and/or providing end-user support.- A valid class 5 drivers license and access to a vehicle is required.- Strong customer service skills.- Knowledge in any of the following would be an asset:* Active Directory* Patching and working with Cat5/6 cables* Office 365* VOIP phone systems* IP Surveillance systems* iPads in school settings* AirWatch/inTune MDM* Digital signage* SmartBoards / Interactive displays* Wi-Fi configuration and management* VMware / Hyper-VCriminal Record Check and Child Abuse Regsitry Check will be required.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $31.01 per hourSchedule:
