Job Description

Meridian Chiropractic + Health Centre in Selkirk is looking to hire a bubbly, self-motivated part-time Medical Receptionist!We believe that the complementary nature of our services enhances the patient experience and work synergistically to speed the healing process. Meridian Health was founded with the steadfast commitment to our community and environment and a strong belief in science and evidenced-based care.Responsibilities: · Welcome patients in friendly manner, in person or by phone.· Schedule appointments, taking payments, and maintaining records and accounts.· Keep office on schedule and maintain operations by following policies and procedures· Comfort patient by anticipating patients’ anxieties and answering patients’ questions· Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and information and ensures they are filed properly and retrieved as needed.· Obtain revenue by recording and updating financial information, recording and collecting patient charges, and filing, collecting, and expediting third-party claims.· Maintain business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, and verifying receipt and restocking of supplies.· Protect patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.· Daily cleaning and laundry duties to keep office clean and safe for all.· Has a keen interest in contributing to the team and our community.Medical Receptionist Skills / Qualifications: · Multi-tasking and Initiative· Flexibility· Telephone skills· Customer service· Time management & Organization· Attention to detail and quality service· Scheduling & Billing· Computer skills· Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office· Professionalism & Cleanliness· Receptionist experience or training is an asset. · Microsoft Word & Patient Booking Software is an asset.Our part-time medical receptionist will be working 15-20 hours per week with an opportunity to increase as the business grows.
