Please make sure work history and education are added correctly.Job SummaryAnimal Health Technician– Toxicology – $2,000 BonusWe are looking for an animal health technician to join our Toxicology team located in Senneville (West of Montreal Island)How will you have an impactAs animal health technician, you will be responsible for the well-being of our laboratory animals. Your contribution will ensure the health of our animals, as well as the integrity of our pre-clinical studies.Why work at Charles RiverWe offer an excellent integration program for our new employees as well as many internal development opportunities and quick progression levels within the role. You will have the opportunity to see and learn many specialized techniques and work with state-of-the-art equipment not found elsewhere.We also have several specialized departments for different types of research including: Inhalation, Reproduction, Safety Pharmacology, In-Vivo Pharmacology, Ocular Neuroscience, Parenteral Infusion Neurotoxicology, Musculoskeletal and General Toxicology.As of Day 1:

Transportation:
  • Shuttle service from the Sainte-Anne-de Bellevue train station and from John Abbott College to the Senneville site.
  • Free parking.
Salary:
  • Basic : $22.50 / hour; Opportunity to start at higher level and higher salary with specific research experience;
  • Based on performance, salary could increase to $24/hrs in 1 year;
  • Evening: $2.50 premium added to your hourly rate
  • Weekend : $2.75 premium added to your hourly rate
  • After 37,5 h : Overtime paid at time and a half
  • Holiday: Paid at double time
  • Annual bonus based on performance.
  • Bonus of 2,000$ after 6 months.
  • Possibility of a relocation amount of 1,000$ (If requirements are met)
Full-Time Schedule :Standard :
  • Mostly day shifts, weekend rotations, with the possibility of overtime in the evenings and nights as needed;
Condensed:
  • Friday to Sunday – 10 hours per day for a total of 30 hours worked but paid for 37,5 hours.
What will you work onYou will be responsible for the well-being of the animals. You will ensure that their environment is clean, provide their food and water, and oversee their enrichment activities. You will also follow up on their clinical signs, administer medications, take blood samples and give injections while respecting protocols.Who are we looking forWe are looking for candidates with a technical background in animal health or bio-ecology or with a Bachelors degree in biology or animal science.
