Job Description

Make Your Mark at Prysmian!The Plant Controller is a key member of the St. Maurice management team and is responsible for maximizing plant profitability.Responsibilities:

  • As a key member of the local management team, you will be responsible for making decisions with the goal of maximizing plant profitability.
  • Assess and communicate the financial impact of discussion points as they arise during meetings.
  • Manage changing priorities effectively and smoothly.
  • Communicate financial concepts/information effectively to non-financial personnel.
  • Build relationships with cross-functional teams.
  • Measure and report on efficiencies and guide local management.
  • Prepare and present monthly financial statements that accurately reflect sales, margins, and expenses to measure performance versus plans and objectives.
  • Planning and budgeting.
  • Coordinate all financial aspects of the plant and help share best practices.
Qualifications:
  • College or University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CMA, or CGMA preferred).
  • Good French and English, spoken and written.
  • 4+ years experience in manufacturing plant accounting and controlling.
  • Strong Excel and software/systems skills.
  • Critical thinker and problem solver. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • SAP experience preferred.
