Job Description

Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our various conveyors and other handling equipment, as well as the assembly and disassembly of mobile conveyors for ship loading and unloading activities.What #39;s more, we currently have a number of new pieces of equipment under construction, for which you will be responsible for monitoring progress, including visits to the manufacturing plant.If you #39;re looking for an opportunity where you can put all your skills to good use, and want to work in a non-routine environment where collaboration and teamwork are fundamental values, you #39;ve come to the right place.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Maintain and repair conveyors and other industrial machinery;
  • Assemble and disassemble mobile conveyor installations in ship loading and unloading operations;
  • Requisition spare parts;
  • Diagnose machinery operating problems;
  • Perform preventive maintenance on all machinery systems;
  • Start-up equipment in compliance with safety and environmental standards;
  • Perform work in difficult environments (regularly wearing masks, working in confined spaces, working at heights);
  • Ensure quality control of your work and test to detect possible sources of failure.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • Professional training in electromechanical mechanics or any other combination of relevant training or experience;
  • Experience in diesel mechanics (asset)
  • Self-reliance and resourcefulness;
  • Ability to communicate and work as part of a team;
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces;
  • Knowledge of welding (asset);
  • Availability for occasional evening and weekend work.
