Job Description

Chief Administrative OfficerThe Warden and Council of the Municipality of the District of Shelburne are seeking a well-rounded leader to become our next Chief Administrative Officer. We are looking for someone who is passionate about public service and community building. Municipal government or public sector experience is important; however, more critical is outstanding leadership experience. Our ideal candidate will:

The CAO will report directly to the Warden and Council and is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the Municipality in accordance with the Municipal Government Act, other legislation and the Municipality’s own by-laws and policies. In this role, they will provide timely advice and guidance to Council and, under their direction, ensure that all programs and services are carried out effectively.
