  • Clean all dishes, pots and inserts.
  • Keeps dish area clean and neat and tidy.
  • Maintain kitchen/dining room cleaning to excellent standards.
  • Know, understand, and practice Emergency Procedures and Policies.
  • Responsible for ensuring that a safe and sanitary environment is provided
  • for staff and residents; makes efforts to reduce safety hazards, accidents
  • and injuries.
  • Report of any deficiencies in the kitchen to your immediate supervisor
  • Responsible for ensuring that a safe and sanitary environment is provided

  • and injuries.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Food Safe Certificate - not required but an asset
  • Previous experience in foodservice facilities considered an asset
  • Demonstrates an awareness of accident and injury prevention; adheres to safe work practices and procedures; and is responsible for maintaining self-wellness and reduced absenteeism
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to set priorities, re-adjust routines and deal with repetitive activities
  • Ability to organize duties with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrates solid observational skills and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, bend, squat, kneel and lift over 20 pounds
