As a Regional Painter you would support improvements in the Optima Living communities within the Edmonton area. You are responsible for painting the common areas and resident suites on a regular basis. assist the maintenance manager with some minor maintenance tasks.**Please note, this position requires to work with multiple communities of Optima in Edmonton and the Surrounding Areas** Responsibilities

  • Prepares surfaces for painting (sanding, scraping, filling holes/cracks, cleaning, masking, priming)
  • Performs touch-ups and repainting as needed due to wear, damage or upgrades
  • Select and mix paints and stains to achieve the desired color and finish
  • Apply paint, wallpaper and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.
  • Maintain inventory of painting supplies and notify when reordering is necessary.
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment.
  • Ensure work areas are thoroughly cleaned and restored to their original condition after job completion.
  • General maintenance knowledge to assist with minor repairs.
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum of three (3) year experience as a professional painter
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with residents, families, visitors and operational partners
  • Superior organizational skills with the ability to handle fast paced environment
  • Solid organizational skills, demonstrate the ability to prioritize and problem solve
  • Ability to stand, lift and bend for extended periods of time
  • Ability to get to all assigned locations
