  • Completion of Military Ammunition Technician Trade Training QL5 or RQ-Cpl
GT-03 :
  • Must have a minimum CAT 3 certification in accordance with the Civilian Ammunition Technician Accreditation Program.
  • Possession of a QL 6A or RQ Sgt from the equivalent military study program
GT-04 :
  • Successful completion of the Civilian Ammunition Technician (CAT) Level 4 or equivalent.
Depending on the position being staffed:
  • Additional qualifications may be required for some positions and you may be contacted and asked to submit information or to be further assessed against these qualifications.
  • Asset qualifications can be applied as essential qualifications as identified by the hiring manager.
EXPERIENCE
  1. Experience in Warehousing Operations.
  2. Experience in operating various hand and power tools while following safe work practices.
  3. Experience in ammunition or explosives handling, and storage.
  4. Experience in disposing of ammunition, explosives and related items by demolition, mutilation, recuperation, and preparation for sale.
  5. Experience working with missiles and torpedoes.
  6. Experience in weapons repair involving the inspection, calibration, repair and maintenance of all army weapons and firearms.
  7. Experience in maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical or hydraulic equipment.
  8. Experience in supervising subordinates
  9. Experience conducting ammunition and industrial accident and incident investigations
  10. Experience in providing leadership and quality control in the mechanical breakdown, repair, modification, maintenance and testing of ammunition
  11. Experience in preparing administrative, progress and technical reports
  12. Experience with information management systems (such as AIMS, DRMIS and/or AESIMS)
  13. Experience in instructions at trainee level or on the job training.
  14. Experience in demilitarization and disposal of ammunition and explosives, its components and packaging.
  15. Experience in issuing, receiving, warehousing and inspecting ammunition and explosives.
  16. Experience in workshop operations: ammunition and explosives maintenance, repair and testing.
