The Care Group (“TCG”) offers high-quality complex care services across our nine (9) homes in the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island.THE OPPORTUNITYWe are looking for a part-time Physiotherapist to join our Sidney Care Home team in Sidney, B.C.Job Summary:The Physiotherapist assesses and treats individuals across the lifespan who have illness, injury or disability affecting the neuro-musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary, vascular, and neurological systems; they also promote the wellness and increased quality of life through education, specialized programming, and a holistic approach.What is in for you

  • CAD$60.00 per hour - 21 hours per week (dayshift).

What will your typical day look like:
  • Mobility and Gait assessments.
  • Transfer assessments.
  • Pain management.
  • Post fall assessments.
  • Exercise programs.
  • Supervising and directing programs and individual care plans for the Rehabilitation Assistant.
  • Initiating and programming the waling program.
What we require from you:
  • Registration as a Physiotherapist in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of British Columbia.
  • Work experience varied - New Graduates welcome!
  • Must posses the personal qualities and attitudes that respect and maintain the spirit, dignity and individuality of the residents.
  • Must have a commitment and understand working with the residents with dementia.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills and is able to establish and maintain relationships with Ownership/Management team, staff, residents, residents #39; families, and external agencies.
  • Ability to work independently but also guide a lead a team of staff members.
  • Demonstrates good time management.
  • Has a commitment to ongoing professional development for self and others.
  • Physically and mentally able to perform duties for above position.
About Sidney Care Home:Sidney Care is located on Vancouver Island in sunny Sidney, BC and offers residential care to 54 clients. Sidney Care has been in operation for many years and provides a home like environment to its residents. The Care home was recently renovated and is tastefully decorated.
