Job Description

We are seeking anAdministrative Assistant - Coordinated Access for Homeless Services Terms: Part-time 14hrs/wk at $23/hrLocation: Remote Work PositionAbout Simcoe County Coordinated Access System: Community Connection receives federal Reaching Home funding through the County of Simcoe to provide oversight and guidance to complete implementation and operationalization of Coordinated Access, and the collection of comprehensive data on the local homeless population including opportunities for collaborative learning and training opportunities. Click here for more information about Coordinated Access.As an Administrative Assistant, you will: Provide administrative support for the implementation and operation of the Simcoe County Coordinated Access System (CAS), a community-wide system in development that will streamline the process for people experiencing homelessness to access housing.What success looks like:

  • Assists with the day-to-day administrative functions needed to support the ongoing operations of the CA system
  • Supports CA team members, the CA Leadership Group, Working Group, and the Community Advisory Board (CAB), through communication activities, work planning, meeting coordination, and documentation.
  • Participates in the maintenance of the By-Name List (BNL) database, develops reports for prioritization and system resource allocation, and acts as a backup to the CA Coord/BNL Lead.
  • Prepares reports and supports marketing and communication activities.
  • Administratively supports community engagement activities.
  • Coordinates and maintains the CA Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Provides data entry support for service providers who do not have access to HIFIS or other CAS tools.
  • Attends and participates in agency staff and/or team meetings.
  • Other duties as required.
Requirements:
  • Proof of Health Canada approved COVID-19 vaccination, or proof of an approved medical or human rights exemption
  • Acceptable Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Ability to work from home with strong internet services and mobile phone
  • Access to a reliable vehicle
  • Strong computer literacy and digital file management skills
  • Advanced Microsoft 365 suite with strong proficiency in Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience working in the homeless services sector or with vulnerable populations is an asset
  • Flexible to work variable hours and travel as required
  • Bilingualism in French/English is an asset
  • Required to modify work schedule and perform roles outside of typical duties when the Business Continuity Plan or Community Emergency Response Plan are activated
