Job Description

Millwright – Slave Lake Proudly Canadian, Tiger Calcium is one of North America #39;s largest calcium chloride producers, drawing from the largest known natural reserve. We define the industry standard for quality—unmatched in either breadth or scope. We manufacture, supply, transport and apply premium calcium chloride products for anti-icing, deicing and dust control. But that #39;s not all. We also formulate custom fluids for, available for purchase or rental 24 hours a day, seven days a week and 365 days a year. Tiger is seeking a Millwright in our Slave Lake location to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment. What’s in it for you:

What you will do in this role:
  • In addition to company policies, comply with all policies, procedures and regulations related to health, safety and the environment.
  • Troubleshoot and determine materials or parts required and method of repair, ordered through the Parts Department, according to company policy and communicate findings to the Production Manager.
  • Install, align, maintain, dismantle and overhaul machinery such as pumps, presses, agitators, gearboxes, and hydraulic and pneumatic controls.
  • Work with Electricians, Welders and other trades to complete repairs or insulations.
  • Inspect equipment and facilities to ensure all guards and protective devices are in place and functional. Report any deficiencies to the Maintenance Superintendent.
  • Inspect and monitor equipment to prevent breakage and lost production.
  • Ensure Parts inventory is maintained.
  • Maintain a detailed record of repairs for work orders.
What we are looking for:
  • Journeyman Millwright. Journeyman Welder would be considered an asset.
  • Minimum two years of related experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Aerial Work Platform certification would be considered an asset.
  • Familiar with various hand and power tools and specialized equipment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Effective interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong Organizational Skills.
