  • Salary: $ 16.50 per hour

Le Boat Canada Ltd is based out of Smiths Falls providing luxury boat rentals on the Rideau Canal. This an opportunity to spend your summer working on beautiful boats at the water’s edge in a parkland setting.At a glanceThis role requires strength, agility, and stamina. You must love being outside in good weather or bad.You will work hard while keeping a smile on your face and being respectful of deadlines, clients and staff.You will be responsible to assist our Technicians & Cleaning crew to maintain and prepare our fully equipped modern fleet.We employ varied skills sets and share responsibilities to assure good coverage. Much time will be spent on our large cruisers scrubbing them to a shine, filling water tanks, pumping fuel, loading kayaks or bikes and assisting clients with luggage carts. This role changes by the hour. In return, you will earn an above average wage, flexible scheduling and enjoy time outdoors in a beautiful setting.Main Responsibilities
  • To prepare all boats and their equipment for use prior to client’s arrival
  • Take responsibility for the safe fueling, waste removal and exterior washing of our fleet
  • Coordinate with maintenance staff, mechanics, and cleaners to ensure an efficient workflow
  • Ensure that reporting checklists are completed accurately.
  • Maintain tools, work-spaces & supplies to ensure safe & efficient operations.
  • Assist clients with needs including general information, luggage handling etc.
Skills Required
  • Hi energy, “can do” attitude.
  • You must be able to shift gears to respond to a fast pace setting while maintaining a high-quality standard of work.
  • Able to work independently and in small groups.
  • Possession of a Pleasure Craft Operators Card and strong knowledge of marine navigation and boat handing will be an asset.
Additional InformationScheduling will be based on the client departure & return flow as some days will be longer than others.
