Job Description

Reporting to the Manager, the Office Coordinator organizes and codes accounting and payroll records for processing bythe accounting department. Provides general administrative support to the Manager and is one of the initial contactswith residents, patients, families, volunteers, and the public. Ensures a high degree of confidentiality of all information.Provides assistance in budgeting procedures, personnel functions, and activities of the hospital within the establishedpolicies and guidelines to provide the highest standards of service.QUALIFICATIONS

  • Grade 12 education or equivalent
  • Graduate of a recognized post-secondary education in Business, Accounting, or related courses from an
accredited College or University
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in an administrative support role
  • Working knowledge of Windows based programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook), QHR, and
Internet
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare facility an asset
  • Experienced in a unionized environment, working with collective bargaining agreements and associated issues
  • Knowledge of computerized accounting, scheduling systems
  • Comprehensive knowledge of office methods and procedures and office equipment
  • Accurate word processing at 50 words per minute (typing test will be required)
  • Successful candidate subject to provide security checks in accordance with Security Checks for Employment
