Sooke Harbour Resort & Marina and SookePoint Ocean Cottage Resort, proudly managed by True Key Hotels & Resorts.Staff housing is available.We are seeking:Full-time permanent.Summer seasonalAnticipated start dates: March 1 through June 15Seasonal ending dates: September 1 to October 31Contract length subject to change based on the demands of the season.WHAT IT'S ABOUT!The Housekeeping team members are the heart of the operation as they work to elevate the guests lodging experience. The Room Attendant ensures that guest suites and public areas are clean and properly presented for guests. While positioned operationally behind the scenes, this role often has guest interactions and opportunities to promote a positive image of the property to guests by being friendly, professional and able to address problems or special requestsOur Housekeeping teams work at both the East Sooke and Sooke locations. We provide competitive wages along with a travel allowance for shifts worked at SookePoint Ocean Cottage Resort (East Sooke).WHAT WILL YOU BE DOINGMake beds, change sheets, remove and replace used towel and toiletriesClean kitchens, bathrooms, patios, barbeques...and yep windows!Vacuum, clean, dust and polish items in guest units / cottagesWash, fold sheets and towels, stocking supply roomsEnsure security of guest rooms and privacy of guestsPerform rotation cleaning duties as requiredDeliver and retrieve items on loan to guestsReport anything needing repairWHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOUExperience in a housekeeping department in a resort setting or related area is a strong advantage, but not requiredAbility to anticipate and deliver guests needs enhancing their home-away-from-home experiencePassionate towards cleaning and delivering quality work in a fast-paced environmentInterest in working towards a career in the Hospitality / Tourism industryPrevious customer service experience is an assetReliable and responsible team-based ethicsPhysical ability to work to bend, crouch, climb stairs and being in motion for prolonged periodsAdhere to Sooke True Key Hotels Covid-19 Safety ProtocolsPhysical ability to carry or lift up to 50 poundsCandidates must be legally able to work in Canada to be consideredTrue Key Hotels & Resorts offers competitive employment packages for its team members, including health benefits, competitive wages, education allowance, employee discount programs on the job training and opportunities for advancement within the collection.
