PLAN Contracting Ltd. is looking to add an experienced full-time Senior Site Foreman (Civil) to our crew.We are looking for a highly motivated experienced individual with positive attitude, who is punctual, and has excellent time management skills. General duties will include attend per construction meetings, read construction plans, conduct preconstruction layout of project, address potential project issues prior to start of construction and manage daily paperwork. The Site Foreman manages workers, motivates staff to complete tasks on schedule. The Foreman ensures that the crew complies with site rules and regulations while monitoring their work quality. They may also work on the project site alongside the crew.Tasks while working alongside of the crew will be operating a verity of heavy equipment associated to excavation/site service installation projects. Operation of company trucks (single axle dump/flat decks) and general labour will also be a part of the general daily tasks. The applicant will work under the guidance of a Project Manager. It is the expectation of the company that the applicant will grow within the company to widen their skill sets and responsibilities. PLAN is committed to expanding each employees skill sets and requires each staff to complete training courses each year related to your position within the company.Qualifications and Requirements:* 4+ years as Site Foreman (or position greater or equal to Site Foreman)* 8+ years with Pipe laying, equipment operating or other requires skill sets on a construction site.* Have completed utility installs from start to finish (Sewer, water, Communications, Hydro, etc…)* Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills* A Minimum valid Class 5 Drivers License with Heavy Trailer Endorsement* Valid Level 1 First Aid (or a plan to get Level 1 First Aid within 3 months)* Ability to complete tasks alone and in team situations* Be physically fit to conduct manual LabourUpon completion of a probationary period (3 months), the applicant will be eligible for company work truck, phone and work attire (work pants, boots, vests etc.), health care plan, paid training, and other benefits.Please note that our works yard is located in Sooke.   • 10 hour shift
  • 12 hour shift

  • Sooke, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
  • Civil Construction: 8 years (preferred)
  • Civil Foreman: 4 years (preferred)
  • Pipe Laying: 2 years (preferred)
  • Excavator Operating: 2 years (preferred)
