Souris Feed Mill (Souris, MB) – Full Time PositionPOSITION SUMMARYThis position is responsible for the preventative and non-scheduled maintenance on a range of production equipment for a feed manufacturing plant. This position reports directly to the Manager, Feed Mill.RESPONSIBILITIESMaintain, repair and overhaul of plant production equipment, building and groundsPerform preventative maintenance and improvements or modifications to production equipmentSupport projects including working on project teams as required in the design, installation and commissioning of new or modified equipmentMaintain complete & accurate records of maintenance inspections and repairs, preventative maintenance activities and meter readingsSchedule / track / complete preventative maintenance on all equipment, machinery & boilersSourcing and inventory control of required partsWhile working independently, troubleshoot machine problems and devise solutionsResponding to maintenance issues and alarms, after hours and on weekends and holidays, is required on a rotational basisEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:Excellent mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshootPractical experience performing as a maintenance technician in an industrial settingExperience with automated manufacturing equipmentStrong oral and written communication skills and excellent organizational skillsAbility to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment, a self-starter who is able tomulti-task and change prioritiesKnowledge of PLC and controls would be an assetLicensed Industrial Mechanic (millwright), Class 4 Power Engineer, or equivalent work experienceA valid Manitoba Class 5 driver’s license is requiredA valid Class1 license would be considered assetPlease submit resume to:Email: mlafjobs@mapleleaf.comWe thank all applicants for their interest in exploring employment opportunities with Maple Leaf Foods; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
