Bi-Weekly Hours: 37.5 hours bi-weekly / Days, Evenings and Nights /7.5 hr. shifts / Non-master rotation / 4 weeks notice of schedule.(Commencing Immediately until March 2022)The Resident Care Worker is the personal care provider for residents within the Long Term Care setting. Under supervision of a registered nurse, the primary responsibility is to deliver person-centered care in a professional, high quality, holistic manner that considers the residents physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual needs. These RCW positions provide replacement and/or supplementary nursing assistance to Riverview Manor, and Colville Manor as required.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications: - Successful completion of a recognized Resident Care Worker training program or equivalent.- Demonstrated ability to show patience, sensitivity, and creativity.- Good communication and judgement skills.- Able to work under supervision as well as independently and part of a team.- Capable of sustained physical activity.- Have a good previous work and attendance record.- The successful applicant must provide a satisfactory criminal records check prior to beginning employment.Other Qualifications: - Experience in Alzheimer and related dementia would be an asset.- Additional relevant education and experience will be considered an asset.Please Note: Applicants are expected to complete the full length of this assignment unless appointed to a permanent position.Please ensure the application clearly demonstrates how you meet the noted qualifications as applicants will be screened based on the information provided.
