Closing Date: September 23, 2021Reporting to the Senior Engineering Supervisor, Maintenance the Administrative Assistant is responsible for the day-to-day administrative duties for the Maintenance, Environment, and Engineering departments. This is a temporary 12-month position.To be successful we are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills; someone who is a tried team player, who can excel in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Working a compressed work week with alternating Fridays off, come experience what work life balance is all about!Responsibilities:Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and proceduresAssist with month-end obligations and day-to-day clerical duties such as data administration and schedulingUpdate and organize databases, file manual records, and produce key performance indicatorsCompile and issue preventative maintenance work packagesManage Document Control Systems on SharePointAssist in the development or modification of digital based tools, primarily using Microsoft Excel and Power BIQualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent; Office Administration Diploma is preferredSolid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite®Previous administrative experience in a high-paced, industrial environment is an assetAt Teck, we value diversity.
