If you are committed to excellence, we invite you to join our experienced team as an Operator specializing in the Forestry sector.Team & CultureThe ideal candidate will have 5 years experience and be willing to work shift work. Joining an established team the successful candidate will be comfortable working in remote site while living in camp. They will be comfortable taking direction and working on their own but also able to contribute to a team environment. Must be able to to transport themselves to & from site or to a designated marshalling point.Expectations

  • Pre-shift check & completion of Mobile Equipment Check List.
  • Warm up and refueling prior to start of workday.
  • Ensure servicing at scheduled times.
  • Keep machine & tracks clean and free of loose debris.
  • Keep windows, any mirrors, and lights clean & free of any items obscuring visibility.
  • Maintain operable fire extinguishers, fire tools, shovel & Pulaski on machine.
  • Maintain daily logbook of machine hours.
  • Immediately notify supervisor and/or site mechanic of any problems.
  • Experience in steep slope conditions
  • Operators must be familiar with and able to read documents commonly used with their equipment, such as design details and drawings.
  • Be familiar with & understand project’s requirements and to support crew.
  • Operate equipment in a safe and responsible manner according to Provincial regulations and site safety standards.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years experience.
  • Class 5 Driver’s license.
  • Must be willing to do shift work.
  • Background in construction and heavy civil experience an asset
