Closing Date: July 2, 2021Reporting to the Planning Supervisor, the Maintenance Coordinator (known at Teck as the Maintenance Scheduler) is responsible for working in conjunction with the operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure the smooth flow of assets in and out of service for maintenance activities. This is a key position that optimizes the required resources to successfully achieve the planned maintenance work and production schedules for the mine.To be successful we require someone with strong interpersonal and communication skills, who can influence a team. Come experience what work life balance is all about!Responsibilities:Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and proceduresEnsure all resources, both external and internal, are verified to accommodate the schedule of planned activitiesUse the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and other computer applications to support effective and efficient scheduling and reporting functionsSupport a 13-week schedule window, communicate any resource concerns, and load appropriately in our CMMSEnsure that weekly schedules are prepared, published, and issued to all concerned and actively participate in work control as requiredSupport daily schedule walkthroughs with supervisors to support effective work executionAssist in the collection, tracking, and achievement of scheduling Key Performance IndicatorsSchedule and participate in post schedule completion reviews to ensure continuous improvement of schedule qualityManage risks that may affect developed schedules, such as weather, working heights, confined or restricted workspace, and parts delivery delaysCoordinate parts and materials delivery and staging through materials techniciansQualifications:Journeyperson's ticket, related technical diploma, or a relevant combination of education and experiencePrevious experience with materials acquisition, planning, or scheduling in a maintenance environment would be an assetExperience with Microsoft Office Suite® and proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management SystemsFamiliarity with the maintenance processes and other system software is an assetAt Teck, we value diversity.
