Job Description

Closing Date: November 7, 2022Reporting to the Process Maintenance General Supervisor, the Process Maintenance Supervisor (known at Teck as Supervisor, Maintenance Processing) is responsible for supervising maintenance crews in meeting departmental objectives in a safe, environmentally responsible, and efficient manner. This role is responsibilities for trades, schedule execution, continuous improvement, and staffing, consistent with company standards. This is operated on a 4x4 schedule of day shifts.To be successful, we are looking for a strong leader with a proven track record of mentoring and motivating individuals, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The successful individual would have strong organization skills and demonstrated professionalism and can interact at all levels of the organization.   • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Develop and maintain a safe and efficient work environment through compliance with Teck’s Health and Safety Program and the BC Mines Act
  • Lead and motivate individuals in achieving operating targets and improve employee work performance through mentorship and feedback
  • Coordinate and prioritize the activities of the maintenance crew for the maintenance and repair of plant equipment to improve availability and reliability
  • Assist with the development of the maintenance schedule, working closely with the Maintenance Planners, Scheduler, and Materials Coordinator
  • Lead safety meetings, crew talks, and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist in sourcing and requisitioning maintenance supplies, equipment, and services within budget guidelines
  • Assist with problem solving and troubleshooting of equipment failures to determine root cause and corrective actions
  • Complete employee work performance evaluations
  • Participate in industrial relations and safety investigations
  • Supervise contractors as needed
Qualifications:
  • Possess a valid Journeypersons ticket, related technical diploma, or engineering degree
  • Experience in execution, planning, and scheduling of maintenance work
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite®, training in Microsoft Dynamics AX will be provided
  • Supervisory experience is considered an asset
