Job Description

Teck is currently accepting applications for the position of Warehouseperson. Teck recruits proactively to build a talent pool for current and/or future opportunities.Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouseperson is responsible for the receipt, secure storage, and proper issue of materials and supplies required for operations.Responsibilities:Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and proceduresShip, receive and securely store materialsPerform duties such as: setting min/max levels, picking and filling orders, cycle and inventory countsOperate warehouse equipment in a safe manner including industrial forkliftsPerform heavy lifting in a safe mannerEnsure the safe and productive completion of warehouse storage related projects and requirements in a fast-paced environmentIdentify opportunities to streamline business processesQualifications:Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyperson’s Warehouseperson, Partsperson, or equivalent certificationValid driver’s licenseStrong understanding of warehousing functionsThe ability to quickly master a materials management systemAble to multi-task and meet challenges directlyStrong organizational, interpersonal and communication skillsPrevious experience in a mining or industrial environment is considered an assetExperience with Microsoft Office Suite® including Dynamics AX will be considered a strong assetBenefits:We offer the chance to live and work in the Rocky Mountains, where year round recreational activities such as hunting, fishing, skiing, snowmobiling, and biking are unlimited.
