The Assistant Manager keeps the Health Services Manager/Site Leader aware and up to date of any significant events. The Assistant Manager plans, co-ordinates and participates in the care of patients, clients, and residents within the facility. The Assistant Manager acts as a role model and patient/client/ resident care advocate and exhibits leadership and team building and skills. The Assistant Manager demonstrates effective communication and organizational skills and acts as a resource for all team members to ensure quality care. The Assistant Manager is responsible to develop and maintain a working environment that supports the delivery of high-quality effective care and caring. The Assistant Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the clinical care delivery.About YouWe would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  • Must be registered with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing
  • Five (5) years of relevant clinical experience, at least one year in a rural setting preferred
  • Two years of experience in a supervisory, leadership and/or management role preferred
  • Completion of or willingness to complete a leadership development program
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
