Visit us today and check out www.novascotia.com to see why more people from across the globe are moving here.ResponsibilitiesThe Health Services Manager/Site Lead is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for two sites (ASSH & NCMH) and Health Services Management for clinical services, in collaboration with an Assistant Manager and/or Patient Care leader at each site.The Health Services Manager/Site Lead acts as the face of NSH in the local community with the general public and community partners, and supports efforts to improve the quality, safety & efficiency of services.This position works collaboratively with other managers and leaders in the zone to integrate service delivery at each site for the community. The home office location will be at one of the two sites and is to be determined with the successful candidate.QualificationsWe would love to hear from you if you have the following:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a health related discipline or business / public administration
• Five (5) years’ experience managing teams within a unionized environment
• Experience developing and facilitating strategies consistent with the principles of Organizational Health
• Demonstrated proficiency in program planning, financial and human resource management, oral and written communication and interpersonal effectiveness
• Excellent leadership, organizational, analytical, problem solving, conflict resolution, negotiation, strategic thinking and decision-making skills, with the ability to successfully change, adapt, overcome, and cope with unexpected challenges
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strategic partnerships and collaborative working relationships with a variety of internal and external partners across the healthcare continuum
• Demonstrated commitment to employee and self-development and continuous quality improvement
• Proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, internet, email, and the ability to utilize health information systems for decision support
• Demonstrated regular attendance in current and previous employment
• Physical and mental capabilities to perform the duties of the position such as managing multiple priorities, time-sensitive deadlines, stressful situations, working flexible/extended hours and travelling within and outside NSHA as necessary
• Valid Nova Scotia Driver’s License and access to reliable vehicle
• Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
