Job Description

We are currently looking for an LFP Specialist to join our team. Reporting to the LFP Technical Lead, our ideal candidate has knowledge of the renewable energy market, renewable energy power systems, lithium iron phosphate batteries and battery management system (BMS) technology.They will also be responsible for communication directly with suppliers, distributors and customers on product support, discovery, and evaluation. Location:The candidate would be working from our downtown Halifax office, close to transit, food, and other amenities.Responsibilities:

  • Communicating and coordinating with supply and distribution partners
    • Batteries – focus on battery management system (BMS) over cells
    • Ancillary Components – fuses, fuse holders, etc.
  • Creation and maintenance of product support documentation
  • Technical customer troubleshooting (system and battery level)
  • New product technical evaluations
  • Keeping up with market trends, product launches, competitors, and opportunities
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Assisting with product webinars/trainings
  • Assisting with production of product videos
  • Manipulating and designing CAD files for manufacturing and marketing purposes
Education, Training and Experience Requirements:
  • Engineering degree (electrical or related) preferred, ability to register as EIT
  • 1-2 Years (or Co-op semesters) of relevant product-focussed experience preferred
  • Good communication skills
  • Good problem solving, troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
  • Some amount of self-starting
  • Understanding of basic programming concepts, some experience with Android and iOS an asset
