Job Description

Job DescriptionOur client is looking to hire NACE III inspectors. The inspection services will be required at their CMS generating station in Squamish, British Columbia and duration of each assignment will vary.The client is looking for the equivalent of a total of up to five (5) months of services between September 2024 and June 2025.The general scope of work will be as below:

  • Review Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and sign off on ITP performed steps, while at job site.
  • Review the contractor’s QC records on a daily basis – and provide sign-off.
  • Verify Contractor’s coating inspector’s and worker’s qualifications at the start of job and when a new inspector/worker arrives at job site.
  • Verify Contractor’s quality documentation against Contract requirements, Contractor’s Inspection and Test Plan and Contractor’s procedures as accepted by the client. If a Non-Conformity (NC) is observed, notify the client representative the same day as NC is observed via e-mail.
  • Review of other relevant Contractor site documentation and procedures while at site.
  • Share professional opinion and recommendation about observed Non-Conformity, if applicable.
  • Perform random QA verification testing e.g., environmental conditions, visual, Dry Film Thickness (DFT), holiday, etc.
  • If indicated on the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) perform testing (e.g., adhesion, etc.).
  • Coordinate with other coating inspectors to share updates when transitioning in or out of their work shifts at site.
  • Communications with the client #39;s Construction Management and Construction Officers
  • Virtual meetings with QA engineer on a weekly basis (e.g., provide updates regarding timely access to Contractor’s daily QC reports, ITP, Quality Docket, etc.)
