Project:The Woodfibre LNG Project is located approximately 7 km west-southwest of Squamish, British Columbia. It involves the design, construction, commissioningamp; start-up and operation of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility on the previous Woodfibre pulp mill site, which will have a floating storage capacity of 250,000 m3 and will produce approximately 2.1 million tons per year of LNG.Woodfibre Management Ltd. is a privately held Canadian company based in Vancouver and a subsidiary of Pacific Energy Corporation Limited.Position Overview:Woodfibre LNG is seeking a Project Director, reporting to the Vice President – Projects.The Project Director will act as the single point of accountability for the overall execution management of the Woodfibre LNG Project spanning across multiple geographical locations such as Qingdao, China (module fabrication yard), Houston, USA (EPC Contractor’s design office) and Squamish, Canada (construction site). The Project Director will also require extensive collaboration with the internal regulatory and environmental team, EPC Contractor as well as external stakeholders (equity partner, LNG offtaker, financial institutions, etc). This senior level position requires the individual to be a project professional capable of leading large scale gas projects of more than $1 billion, from the Owner’s side. The candidate must have strategic decision-making skills, along with professional verbal and written communication skills.
