ProjectThe Woodfibre LNG Project is located approximately 7 km west-southwest of Squamish, British Columbia. It involves the construction and operation of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility on the previous Woodfibre pulp mill site, which would have a storage capacity of 250,000 m3 and would produce approximately 2.1 million tons per year of LNG.Woodfibre Management Ltd is a privately held Canadian company based in Vancouver and a subsidiary of Pacific Energy Corporation Limited.PositionThe Technical Training Specialist reports directly to the Day Superintendent and will manage the Training and Development systems to provide all personnel working for the Operations and Maintenance departments with appropriate opportunities for skill improvement and/or career development. This role will liaise with the Production Leadership Team and prioritize the training needs of all relevant personnel. The selected candidate will organize and prepare Training and Development Plans; develop Vendor and Regulatory training schedules; oversee the implementation of the Competency Assurance Management System for Operations and Maintenance; conduct regular meetings with Operations and Maintenance leadership to attain the training needs and conduct Training Needs Analysis to address any competency gaps.
