Job Description

What you need, when you need it! We are looking for a Purchaser to join our team in our Maintenance department. Custom Helicopters Ltd. provides helicopter support to clients for various applications, while providing high-quality services with a commitment to safety, quality, and value.Reporting to the Stores Manager, you will be responsible for the procurement of aircraft parts, supplies, and equipment to be used by the organization. You will oversee the procurement processes and administration of the company purchase order system, in order to maintain appropriate inventory levels. As the ideal candidate, you will utilize expert knowledge to purchase goods and services that meet quality requirements and specifications at the most favorable price for the company, while simultaneously meeting legislative requirements and building relationships with key suppliers.Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Procurement and Logistics is preferred, with related job experience (aviation-based Stores experience is considered an asset). A combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel & Word) and procurement/ERP technologies. Aviation-related software experience is considered an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the confidence to influence external and internal stakeholders, using effective communication skills.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Able to lift items of up to 50lbs.
