  • Provide billing support using various Grant Thornton systems and in accordance with the terms of the engagement letter
  • Contributing to the team culture by looking for ways to improve work methods and ensuring positive work relationships
  • Use your Microsoft Office skills every day; preparing, editing and formatting letters, reports, presentations, financial statements and other documents
  • Be efficient with filing, faxing, scanning and photocopying
  • Preparation and presentation of financial statement packages
  • Managing correspondence on behalf of the Partners and Managers
  • Coordinating external/internal appointments, meetings, room bookings, and meals/catering
  • Reception relief as needed
  • Support the business with other administrative tasks as required

Heres a few more boxes we’re also hoping you can tick:
  • 2-3+ years of administrative experience in a busy professional services environment (public practice would be an asset); working with multiple projects and meeting (at times competing) tight deadlines
  • Excellent data entry and word processing skills with high attention to accuracy and detail. Must have an aptitude for proofreading and suggesting alternatives
  • Professional and eager to learn with a desire become a strong contributing member of our administrative team
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and be skilled at working within tight deadlines
  • Take initiative, with strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent client service mindset
  • Computer savvy with the ability to learn and troubleshoot various computer programs including Microsoft Office
  • Experience with AP, AR, or any accounting software is an additional benefit (Ex. Caseware)
  • Experience in financial statement preparation an asset
  • Known for strong attention to detail by producing high quality work
  • Reputation and demonstrated track record of working independently, showing initiative and eagerness to learn and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Significant knowledge and experience working with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must be willing to work overtime periodically
