About us:Oxford Learning goes Beyond Tutoring! Tutoring relies heavily on memorization. At Oxford Learning we take a different approach- one that shifts the focus from WHAT your child is learning to HOW your child is learning. We provide coaching for students ages 4 to 18 on literacy, writing, math, french and study skills! We do not tutor! Instead, we work in small groups (3:1 ratio) with our proprietary curriculum to develop students academic skills, metacognition, organization and motivation. As a learning coach, you will be implementing three individualized programs each hour, tailoring your instruction and approach to best serve your students cognitive strengths. You will be facilitating verbalization and reflection with each student, making the skills and strategies they learn matter to them, and helping them learn to transfer it to the classroom and home setting! You may be working with students with different learning needs, exceptionalities and backgrounds. Confidence, organization, flexibility and multitasking are key skills a learning coach requires to meet the needs of each student. At Oxford Learning, it isn’t just about the subject matter; we emphasize how a child learns and how they can now use these learning strategies at school. If you want to join our high energy group of educators, please send your cover letter and resume to Emily Bogart at Oxford Learning St. Catharines at st.catharines@oxfordlearning.comQuick Apply
