We value respect, diversity, integrity, care, compassion, and accountability.Reporting to the Digital Marketing Specialist, the Summer Worker, Digital Marketing position will play a crucial role in supporting the digital marketing team in executing online campaigns, analyzing data, and implementing strategies to enhance the online presence and reach of the Dixon Hall. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about digital marketing and seeking to develop their skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.​​​​​​REQUIREMENTS

    • Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period;
    • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment; and,
    • Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and adapt content for various digital platforms.
  • Maintain content calendars in accordance with marketing initiatives.
  • Assist in planning and executing social media campaigns.
  • Monitor content performance and engage with audiences across various digital platforms.
  • Contribute to the creation and distribution of email campaigns; maintain accurate email lists.
  • Collaborate on implementing basic SEO strategies to optimize website content through keyword research.
  • Compile and analyze digital marketing data; generate reports on key performance indicators.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and contribute insights.
  • Collaborate effectively with the Marketing and Communications team and various internal and external stakeholders to align digital marketing with Agency goals.
  • Execute tasks in an efficient and client-focused manner to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Actively participate in departmental meetings and events.
  • Engage in regular meetings with the Digital Marketing Specialist and other team members to discuss individual and team effectiveness.
  • Adhere to agency policies, procedures, and the Mission, Vision, and Values of Dixon Hall.
  • Other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Currently enrolled in, or recently completed, post-secondary education in Marketing Management, Business Administration, or another related program.
  • Relevant work experience (placement opportunities included) in similar environments is an asset.
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing principles and platforms.
  • Proficiency in using social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
  • Familiarity with basic SEO concepts.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher) and database management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • Must be qualified to work in Canada legally for the employer.
  • Able to provide a Vulnerable Sector Screening check with a ‘Clear’ or satisfactory result that meets the operational requirements of the Agency.
  • Must have up-to-date vaccinations against COVID-19 with a vaccine that has been approved for use in Canada.
