Job Description

Summer Maintenance Assistant, St. John’s, NL*(July – September 30, 2021)*Killam Apartment REIT (TSX: KMP.UN), is a growth-oriented real estate investment trust which owns, manages and develops multi-family residential properties in Atlantic Canada, Ontario , Alberta and British Columbia. Killam is focused on maximizing its value and long-term profitability through increasing earnings, expanding the portfolio through acquisitions and developing high-quality properties in its core markets.We currently have opportunities available on our St. John’s maintenance team for an energetic Summer Maintenance Assistant.Responsibilities:

  • Liaising and obtaining quotes from contractors
  • Measuring spaces to enable proper quotation
  • Onsite follow up with contractors
  • Inputting data
  • Knowledge of plumbing, minor electrical, carpentry, etc.
  • All other duties as required
Qualifications:
  • Previous construction/maintenance experience
  • Ability to work as a team, and also under minimal supervision
  • Renovations experience an asset
  • General trades experience
  • General knowledge of electrical an asset
  • Project management experience an asset
  • Must have own vehicle
