We better the lives of our customers and communities.PurposeTHIS ROLE IS IN HERBERT, SASKATCHEWANThe primary purpose of this position is to provide owner Plant representation at a wind generating.The Site Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the wind facility by ensuring that all contractual obligations are met, especially that of maximizing energy production under the power generation equipment service contract. This person is accountable for the operational performance of the asset.Knowledge, Skills and AbilityAccountabilitiesCoordinate and oversee the work performed by the OEM, and contractorsCoordinate downtime with the OEM, contractors and utility or in accordance with any operating agreementEnsure compliance with OSHA, EPA standards, guidelines and regulationsAssist in the training of new employees in the safe operation and maintenance of the facilityManage risk to the achievement of our organization’s strategic objectives in the areas of environmental health and safety, asset capability, quality and productionAccountable for the financial performance of the facility on a day to day basisAccountable for the financial performance of the facility on a day to day basisAccountable for adherence to corporate policies and proceduresUphold the corporate ValuesKnowledge, Skills and AbilityEssential Job FunctionEnsure all supplier and asset management contractual obligations are adhered to, including equipment warranty obligations, obligations of the long term service supplier, and contractual obligations of the Owner with regards to external stakeholders such as the energy off-taker, the interconnection utility, the independent system operator, the landowners, any local/municipal, State or Federal government entities, etc..Ensure coordination of Plant generation schedules with the OEM, contractor, Algonquin Power and lead market participant, specifically with a view to maximizing energy production of the facility in each quarter-year period.Plan and schedule OEM, contractor and implement strategies to maximize revenue.Participate in and promote job/workpackage safety analysis, job site safety observations, audits, safety meetings, safety training, injury/event assessment, and investigation / root cause analysis.Oversee the BOP maintenance and operations scope of work, and all of the Substation switching operations.Plan and schedule BOP major equipment maintenance activities to minimize downtime impact on revenueIdentify and engage contractors for facilities balance of plant (BOP)Monitor facility performance in terms of comparison with expected results and key performance indicators (KPI's)Aid in the development of the yearly budget requirements and manage the facility within approved budget parameters.Has the ability to ensure the highest level of EHS practices on all maintenance processes and procedures (LOTO/ESP)Plan with the OEM and manage maintenance switch order in accordance with APCO operations requirementsPlan and execute all monitoring requirements at the wind generating facility for items related to machinery condition, and the monitoring of environmental conditions and parameters,Plan and execute all monitoring requirements at the wind generating facility for items related to machinery condition, and the monitoring of environmental conditions and parameters,Knowledge to develop and maintain all Substation and BoP Electrical maintenance planning schedules.
