We are currently recruiting a full-time Lumber Yard Sales Associate to join the Home Building Centre team in St. Walburg. With a focus on providing a high level of customer service while maintaining compliance to safety and fire regulations, this role is responsible for providing prompt and courteous service to customers. Home Building Centre St. Walburg is a 100% Canadian, dealer-owned and operated retailer.Key Responsibilities: · Working with the customer in person/on the phone to determine needs· Maintaining a practical knowledge of building materials and lumber products, including their uses, advantages, and disadvantages; communicating product specs to customers as appropriate· Assist in taking annual inventory counts· Provide customers with colour and paint product selection advice, as well as tinting paint for customers· Use POS system to process customers transactions· Help unload weekly stock truckQualifications and Requirements: · Experience working in a lumber yard is an asset· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs· Strong customer service philosophy· Ability to work co-operatively in a team atmosphere· Ability to work a flexible schedule Monday through Saturday (closed on Sundays and holidays)· Organized and punctual· Able to prioritize work· Able to use a computer to complete online training coursesWe are committed to employment diversity and encourage all qualified individuals to apply.
